About
The Evelyn Scott Society was founded in 2003 by Dr. Pat Tyrer. It was active for several years, producing panels at the American Literature Association and the Society for the Study of American Women Writers. After a period of dormancy, a call for new members and officers was issued in 2014. By-laws were ratified and a slate of officers (Caroline Maun, President; Denise Scott-Fears, Vice-President, and Andrea Wolfe Powell, Secretary/Treasurer) was elected for 5-year terms in April of 2015. The most recent election was held in 2020; Caroline Maun and Denise Scott-Fears succeeded themselves for a second term and Graça Salgado was elected Secretary/Treasurer.
The Evelyn Scott Society is a non-profit organization with no membership fees. Membership is available to all interested persons by providing current email contact information. Members will receive current calls for papers and information about Society business.
